Divination Classroom

Professor Malenki walked into the Divination classroom and sat at her desk. She looked at the clock and saw that all of her students should be arriving within the next ten minutes so she opened a book and waited.

Brianna stepped into the classroom, dressed in her ravenclaw robes, kind of nervous that she may find out something like that she's dying or something crazy. She sat down at her desk, opened her textbook and started looking over it, it was the section about telling the future with bird entrails.

Professor Malenki smiled as her first student walked in for her class. "Hello, Brianna isn't it?" she asked, as she was pretty good with names.

"That is correct, Professor" Brianna said, peering up from the textbook, a bit nervous that the teacher knew her off the bat

Mrs. Malenki smiled. "Thought so, well lets start if people want to come to class they can come when they are ready i am not going to wait." she said, to Brianna. "Turn to page 345, and read chapter one on Tea Leaves, please." she instructed, before sitting back down in her desk.

Brianna flipped to the page assigned by the teacher, she read about tea leaves and how to tell the future with them

Professor Malenki sat there and waited for Brianna to finish reading what she had just assisned her too.

"Finished!, What do I do next?" Brianna asked with her hand raised as high as it could go.

Professor Malenki smiled. "Now you can tell me about what you have just read." she replied, waiting to see if Brianna had actually read all of it.

"Tea leaf reading, or Tasseography, is an ancient Chinese practise that spread around Europe. What you must do to get results from tasseography is to drink the cup of tea, swirl it around 3 times clockwise with your left hand, and dump out the remaining water and stuff besides the tea leaves, careful not to dump out the tea leaves, then you look at what you see, then try to find out what the symbol means, for example if you see the grim, you will die soon" Brianna said

Pr.Malenki smiled. "That's very good, 5 points to Ravenclaw." she said, looking out the window and then looking back at Brianna. "One question though, you didn't say what shape the grim is. Can you tell me?" she asked, curiously.

"The grim is a spectral black dog that haunts churchyards and gravesites, they are said to be death omens, they are shaped like dogs when read in tea leaves, I'd assume" Brianna said, now a bit nervous that she'd see a grim in the cup, though she hadn't had any tea readings yet

She smiled. "That is correct, but the grim is not shaped like a dog in tea leaves, so you can relax." she said. "Now you can go get the materials over there and you may preform the things needed and then you are to come back to me and tell me what yours is. It is a pop quiz."

Brianna grabbed some materials to do the reading, she then did the whole process of preparing the leaves to be read. As soon as she finished, she looked at the bottom, she saw an axe. "Professor Malenki, I see an axe, that means possible danger or difficulty for a friend or you, right?" she said

[I totally forget...ah whatever i'm saying it's right]

Professor Malenki went to have a look, seeing and axe wasn't common. "Yes, it does good job Brianna!" she said, smiling.

"Thank you" Brianna said, she smiled a little bit, but then she started to worry just a bit

"Tell me what you see dearie," Professor. Malenki said, chuckling a little at how she said it.

"The axe is what is worrying me" Brianna said, "What difficulty or suffering do you think is in store for me"

"For you?" Ginevra asked confused. "I thought you said it was your friend Alex's prediction?!"

[this is the Divination classroom, I was reading my own tea leaves, there are no people other than us, the reading for Alex is mentioned in wandering Hogwarts walls]

"He had an axe too, he is actually my twin, so if he suffers, I suffer in some way too and vise versa" Brianna said.

"Okay then.." Professor Malenki said. "Well homework." she paused. "I would like a 100 word 'essay' on tea leaves and the method to use them." as she finsihed talking she went and sat at her desk giving the message class was over.

"Ok, I'll do that" Brianna said, waving to Professor Malenki as she left the classroom.

Professor Malenki was happily grading papers she only had one student and that one student did very well. "Outstanding" she muttered to herself.
